16 days of activism 2016

On 25th November 2016, TARANGO has organized a discussion session to observe the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. About 100 artisans and office staff participated in the discussion. The discussion was chaired by Ms. Kohinoor Yeasmin, CEO of TARANGO.

Violence against women is a violation against human rights, discrimination against women, in law and practice and of persisting inequalities between men and women. It impacts on and impedes, progress in many areas, including poverty eradication, combating HIV/AIDS, and peace and security.

All participants are agreed each and every person has responsibility to prevent violence against women. Tarango as an organization we are always very sincere and sensitive against any sort of violence.  All the office staffs and artisans are encouraged to prevent violence against women at working place, at home and urged to come forward each other to act on this and help the violence victims. As TARANGO has a shelter home, she advised to refer to shelter home for interim period.
