This is a partnership project funded by UK aid.  Duration of this project is June 2010 to March 2014. Faridpur and Gopalganj are two of the poorest districts in Bangladesh but very high quality jutes are produced in these district. However jute growers face a number of problems: unfair prices; lack of quality seeds; lack of technical knowledge; unfavorable market linkages; and low domestic demand.
